Translate Bar | Good Value Food & Cocktails in Shoreditch
Contributed by: @ImAdeAkins
Translate bar in Shoreditch has long been a regular destination for me when I wanted great value, tasty cocktails and good vibes (pretty much every other week). It was only a matter of time before a review came along. Needing a venue to record the 4th episode of the ADZVICE podcast, Translate was the perfect spot!
*UPDATED* Carl, the owner of Translate felt this review was such a true representation of what he is trying to create with his bar that he treated me to a £50 tab- what a legend! :D

Dark but inviting. Plonk yourself on the sofas, by the bar or hop on a stool by the window.
Cheap, flavoursome and filling. My cheesy chilli beef fries cost me £5 for a huge bowl = happy Ade
'Respect Your Elders' above & 'Garden Party' below. Yes they are as good to drink as they are to look at.
FINAL THOUGHTS ON TRANSLATE BAR
The atmosphere is extremely chilled, everybody's welcome at Translate. The friendliest staff you'll meet and a place that the pretentiousness of Shoreditch has managed to stay clear of. You do not need to be quirky to fit in here- love that.I think its great for catching up with mates but probably a bit too lively for a first date. It's a cracking bar at fantastic prices. I can't speak highly enough of this place and its all warranted. Being open pretty much all day there isn't an excuse not to see for yourself.
Until next time chaps.
