5 Ways to Kickstart your Fitness

Starting your fitness journey as a beginner or even as someone that has taken a hiatus; it can be a bit daunting knowing where to begin. What do I eat? How do I lose weight? These are some of the many questions that go through your head. Have you always wanted to get fit and not known how to? Or wanting to improve your fitness? Read how to get the ball rolling and start your journey to a better you!
1. Eat more greens
Green vegetables are full of fibre and nutrients to help you stay fuller for longer. A great way to get them in is with smoothies or juices!
2. Drink more water
I know it sounds cliche but it really works. You should be looking to drink anything from 2 litres or more of water! Great for clear skin, stomach bloating and total body functioning. We are made up of 60% water, so why not fill up! To pimp up your water, you can add fruit for flavour. Try this detox water made up of lemon, mint and cucumber! Great for digestion and skin!
3. Get active!
Run, go to the gym, or even walk! Whatever you feel comfortable starting with. If that means walking to the station instead of taking the bus or getting off a stop earlier and walking home, starting little will make a difference! The average person is advised to walk at least 10,000 steps a day.
4. Get those zzz's!
Sleeping is as important as eating well, as it allows your body to recover from workouts, helps curb your appetite and stabilizes your weight loss. Not to talk of reducing the appearance of bags and gives you a bag of energy!
Being positive and optimistic means that you are less stress prone and overrall happier with life! Happy mind means a happy life, which means an increased ability to eat well and look after yourself!
